LAKE GEORGE — Freedom Boat Club of Lake George was recently recognized at the company’s national franchise conference in Fort Myers, Florida, with three award recognitions.
Matthew O’Hara, owner of the boat-sharing franchise, won the “Marketing Brand Champion of the Year” award given to the best individual marketing promoter among franchisees nationwide who best exudes the passion and championing of Freedom Boat Club.
O’Hara also was recognized as a 2017 charitable marketing partner for his club’s work with Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, and as one of eight members of the franchisor’s National Marketing Advisory Council.
“It is truly an honor to be recognized, out of an incredible group of franchisees, for promoting the Freedom Boat Club brand and all that Lake George has to offer,” said O’Hara in a news release. “What we are really doing is inspiring people to join the boating lifestyle. There is no better satisfaction than getting families and friends out on the beautiful waters of Lake George, making memories that will last a lifetime.”
Freedom Boat Club is the nation’s oldest and largest boat club, with about 145 club locations operating in 29 states and Canada. The clubs operate with a one-time entry fee and monthly dues. FBC members have unlimited access to the club fleet, but do not own them and never incur service or storage fees. Reservations are made through a proprietary online system.
