WILTON — Adirondack Trust Co. will break ground in the spring on a new building on Maple Avenue, where its bank branch was destroyed by fire in March.
A company vice president, Charles Wait, said the design of the new building complements the bank’s new logo and website.
The Phinney Design Group rotated the footprint of the bank to improve safety and driveability, provide additional parking and add green spaces. It also calls for three drive-thru lanes, including a drive-up ATM and safe deposit boxes.
The fire, which broke out shortly after the bank closed early due to a snowstorm, was linked to a failed electrical outlet. The new bank branch is expected to open sometime this summer.
