Lake Luzerne Supervisor Gene Merlino said there was a moose roaming around Lake Luzerne on Tuesday morning.

Merlino said the moose, which he said was tall but appeared a bit underweight, was last seen swimming east across Lake Luzerne, after a jaunt through the town park and across Route 9N.

From the pictures Gene got, one of which is posted here, it looks to be a calf.

Spring is the biggest time of year for car-moose collisions, as moose move from wintering areas to places to find food.
