It’s harder than it looks. Kevin Lough was streaking into the zone and the puck was moving in the opposite direction. He managed to one-time it and get it on target.
Refresher: one-time means he took his shot without settling the puck (touched it one time).
In general, making contact with something while you and it are moving toward each other is not easy. It’s hard to get the timing just right. A one-timer is hard enough when you’re standing still. It’s harder when you’re also moving.
But Lough did it perfectly and Cullen Bradshaw tipped his shot past Manchester goalie Sam Brittain on Thursday night for the Thunder’s only goal.
“It was a good play,” coach Cail MacLean said. “He’s come into those a couple different times this year. He’s strong in that area.
