We know our readers are busy and have a hard time keeping up on all the political news, but you still have a chance to catch up and review the candidates’ qualifications in our Election Guide that will be included in Saturday’s newspaper.

As is our tradition, we have sent each candidate who is in a competitive race a questionnaire to fill out that includes information on their backgrounds, qualification and where they stand on the issues – in their own words.

We don’t know of any other newspaper that does this.

It is a lot of work for City Editor Bob Condon and newsroom clerk Nancy Gautier but we believe it is an important community service.

Combine the Election Guide with our roundup of endorsements to be published Sunday and voters can still get a sense of the candidates.

You can also find stories on poststar.com on each supervisor candidate in a contested election along with stories on all the contested Glens Falls and Queensbury races. There is a lot of information out there. You just have to make some time before Tuesday to do your homework.

Then go vote.
