At the end of October during the height of turmoil before the Queensbury Town Board election, I received an email from a reader wanting to know if we had ever done an article on local political parties.

He wanted to know how they work, who the leadership was, can anyone go to their meetings and how they go about selecting candidates for office.

It was a great suggestion.

After the election, I talked to our Queensbury reporter Kathleen Moore about doing a story about the local political parties, their ethics and where things stand today in the wake of the controversial election.

That story will appear on the front page Sunday. I doubt she answered all our reader’s questions, but it will give a glimpse into the aftermath of the controversial election and where the local parties are going from here.
