The Phantoms have their first mid-week game this week, traveling to Manchester for a 10 a.m. game Wednesday. That means only two days of practice between games.
A few Phantoms were missing on Monday. Tye McGinn had a rehab day after taking a big hit Saturday night. Brandon Manning was a scheduled absence as he had a doctor's appointment to follow up on a throat surgery he had during training camp. Mangene was still missing as he continues to recover from an injury sustained against the Crunch Oct. 28.
Two Phantoms left early. Sean Couturier returned to the ice after being scratched due to illness in both Friday and Saturday's games. He left practice early, which Terry Murray said was not planned but was just a part of the recovery process. Matt Konan also left practice early after taking a puck to the mouth. He needed stitches, but will be fine.
Monday's practice lines:
Zolnierczyk-Couturier-Harper (Johnston, who skated with this line over the weekend, replaced Couturier)
Testwuide-Roe-Brown-Johnston (the odd number of forwards created a four-man line to start practice, before Johnston moved to the Zolnierczyk-Harper line)
