Ben Holmstrom was missing from practice on Tuesday after leaving Saturday's game early and missing Sunday's contest.
Holmstrom left the game late in the second period on Saturday. He felt something while dumping the puck and then left the game. As he skated toward the dressing room he appeared to be favoring his left leg and it has been declared a lower-body injury.
Tuesday afternoon Holmstrom was headed to Philadelphia to see the Flyers team doctor, Terry Murray said.
Murray couldn't say anything else about the injury, but did say that if it's a long-term injury he didn't anticipate calling anyone up from the ECHL. He said he has Matt Ford and Mike Testwuide who are ready to go (Ford was practicing with the third line on Tuesday) and also can use Zack FitzGerald at left wing, as he did on Sunday and once earlier in the season.
Marc-Andre Bourdon was still missing on Tuesday. He was at the Civic Center, but not playing, Saturday night, but did not travel to Rochester or Providence with the team. He has been suffering from an illness since Dec. 1.
Oliver Lauridsen, who went to Philadelphia to see doctors for a lingering upper-body injury last week, was back on the ice on Tuesday. Lauridsen was given a clean bill of health on Wednesday, but did not play in any of the three games this week after missing two practices.
