Cal Heeter was re-assigned to the Phantoms from the ECHL on Saturday. Though it's the only official one, that's not the only goalie move in the Flyers organization.
Heeter, Michael Leighton and Brian Boucher will all end the weekend on a different team than they started with.
Leighton is not at the Glens Falls Civic Center for Saturday's game and, though no official move has been made, is on his way to Philadelphia, according to a team source.
Last week, Leighton said he was originally going to be sent down on a conditioning stint and was waived and re-assigned to create roster flexibility and cap space.
That would give the Flyers three goalies, but another team source has indicated that Brian Boucher will be returning to the Phantoms on Sunday.
Boucher would not need to clear waivers because he did at the beginning of the NHL season to join the Phantoms in the first place and has neither been in the NHL for 30 days nor played 10 games.
That would give the Phantoms three goalies again, so it is possible that Heeter's current stint with the Phantoms may be short-lived. He may be returning to Trenton, which has been left with one goaltender.
