Glens Falls Hospital announced in July that it will dramatically transform its campus with a nearly $20 million state health grant.

Hospital officials said they plan to sue the funds to create a “medical village” that will bring together a wide range of outpatient services in one location. The roughly 30,000-square-foot building will include a new emergency department. It will be located on the west side of the hospital in a current parking lot. One of the components will include “wrap-around” services for people needing detoxification from drugs or alcohol. Click HERE for a background story.

The hospital has been in the news this year with the announcements that it will be involved in a state study to determine reasons for Warren County's high cancer rates, will lease space at 14 Hudson Ave. and and will sell its renal dialysis service to the Nashville-based Dialysis Clinic Inc.

Merry Christmas!
