One absurd moment from the horror in Las Vegas has been provided by the networks that have been showing cell phone video taken by victims on the ground. Several times, I've seen clips that show crowds screaming and fleeing while audible machine gun fire rips through the crowd. It's horrific. And then I hear a bleep. Yes, the network decided to bleep out someone in the crowd shouting a bad word. That says something about our culture, that we do not hesitate to broadcast over and over clips that show people being massacred, but a bad word that kids at home might hear? That's going too far.
