Past Jug Game Results

-- For those interested, here's the complete list of Jug Games, dating back to 1967, the year the Jug was first awarded. Glens Falls now owns a 34-10 lead in Jug Games, and a 56-37-1 lead in the all-time series dating back to 1917.

-- Saturday's Jug Game -- Glens Falls at Hudson Falls, 1:30 p.m. at Hudson Falls High School -- will be the 45th Jug Game in the 50th anniversary of the first Jug Game, and the 100th anniversary of the first Glens Falls-Hudson Falls game.

-- There was no game from 2005-09 or in 2011 because Glens Falls and Hudson Falls were in different classes and scheduling did not permit games against each other.

-- Hudson Falls' 43-35 victory in 2014 snapped a drought that had existed since 1997 for the Tigers.

-- In 2000, Hudson Falls avenged a Jug Game loss to Glens Falls by beating the Indians 8-6 in the Section II Class B semifinals. The Tigers reached the state semifinals that year, before losing to eventual state champ Rondout Valley.

-- Fans missed out on some great matchups around 2007 and 2008, when both had outstanding running backs -- 2,400-yard rusher Joe McMurry led Hudson Falls to the state Class B semifinals in 2008, and around the same time, Glens Falls was led by hard-running Dan Morrison.
