"Assemblyman Dan Stec (R,C,I-Queensbury), along with members of the Lake George Park Commission, including Executive Director Dave Wick, participated in a survey last Friday to determine the extent of the Asian clam problem in Lake George. Stec has championed the fight against the spread of invasive aquatic species and currently serves as Ranking Minority Member of the Assembly’s Committee on Environmental Conservation."

“The spread of invasive aquatic species has become a serious concern in the North Country and has been one of my top priorities since my time as Queensbury Town Supervisor,” Stec said in the news release. “Fortunately, in this year’s budget we secured $5.8 million to fund the Invasive Species Advisory Council, $450,000 of which will go directly to Lake George.”
