Republican congressional candidate Elise Stefanik on Monday announced that the Support, Honor, Elect political action committee, also known as SHE PAC, has endorsed her candidacy.
The national political organization has a two-fold purpose to make contributions directly to fund advocacy on behalf of campaigns of “principled conservative women” running for federal office, according to the organization’s web site.
Stefanik, a businesswoman and former White House policy adviser from Willsboro, is running against Matt Doheny, an investment fund manager from Watertown, in a June 24 primary for the Republican nomination in the 21st District, where U.S. Rep. Bill Owens, D-Plattsburgh, is not seeking re-election.
Stefanik already has the Conservative Party nomination, and Doheny already has the Independence Party nomination.
The Democratic and Working Families Party candidate is Aaron Woolf, a filmmaker from Elizabethtown.
Matt Funiciello, a bread company owner and political activist from Glens Falls, is the Green Party candidate.
