U.S. Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, D-N.Y. will headline a fund-raising reception for U.S. Rep. Bill Owens’ re-election campaign from 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. August 18 at the Fort William Henry resort and conference center in Lake George, the Owens campaign announced Wednesday.

Cost to attend is $250, said James Hannaway, Owens’ campaign manager.

It has not yet been determined whether Gillibrand will be making any other public appearances that day, he said.

Owens, D-Plattsburgh, is running in the new 21st Congressional District against Republican Matt Doheny, an investment fund manager from Watertown, and Green Party candidate Donald Hassig, a political activist from St. Lawrence County.
