The #518Gives Fundraiser to benefit the Center for Disability Services set a new record on Sunday at the Radisson Hotel in Albany.

The fundraiser collected $2,282,317, topping last year’s mark of $2,172,105.

All proceeds from the event benefit Down Syndrome Aim High Resource Center, Life Quality Solutions Incubator, St. Margaret’s Center and the Prospect Center in Queensbury.

This year’s event was highlighted with visits by New York Yankees manager Aaron Boone, New York Giants tight end Evan Engram and winner of “The Voice” singer/songwriter Sawyer Fredericks also performed as well as several other acts.

Other special segments included the Prospect Center and Keyon Marshall of Gansevoort, who was a former resident of St. Margaret’s Center, who was weaned from his respiratory ventilator to move home.

Donations are still being collected, and one can donate at www.cfdsny.org, texting the phrase 518Gives to 41444 or by calling 518-944-2121.
