HAMILTON COUNTY PERSONNEL/CIVIL SERVICE IS NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR: Certified Home Health Aide The Hamilton County Public Health Nursing Service is now accepting applications for per diem Certified Home Health Aides. Starting salary is $13.420/hr. Incumbents perform routine work involving the personal care of patients in the normal activities of daily living at their place of residence. The work is designed to allow incapacitated patients the opportunity of remaining home rather than requiring institutionalization. They will work in close cooperation with, and under the guidance and direction of a Community Health Registered Nurse and/or other appropriate health or human services personnel. Minimum Qualifications: Completion of basic training program in home health care for Home Health Aides approved by the New York State Department of Health or willingness to obtain; AND Physical examination signed by a physician, physician assistant, or nurse practitioner licensed in New York State including verification of immunizations required by the New York State Department of Health; AND Must successfully complete a Criminal History Record Check and New York State Office of Children and Family Services State Central Register Database Check with fingerprint clearance. Special Requirements: Possession of a valid New York driver’s license at time of appointment. Must be willing to flex hours and work weekends as necessary.
